Dear Clan Carmichael USA,
As part of the homecoming 2009 great Scottish gathering in July in Edinburgh this year Patricia and I have decided to power walk a half marathon overnight for funds for breast cancer research on the night of June 20th 2009. The Edinburgh Moonwalk www.walkthewalk.com apparently regularly attracts “some 12000 women and a few brave men” so your chief falls into the latter category.
In the spirit of the event we will both be wearing Carmichael tartan bras!
At Carmichael itself in 2009 we have a staff member off work undergoing breast cancer treatment and we are aware of many Carmichaels worldwide who are affected by the disease. There can be no worthier cause for our endeavors and we hope you will support our initiative.
I would be very grateful if you could forward the links to our online charity sponsor forms to as many of your members as possible. We have each set realistic targets of only £100 sponsorship but hope to exceed this!
